This piece was painted july 14 2005 from a small beach across from five mile called around mile 99 on the main salmon river in central idaho. Buckskin Bill, often referred to as the last of the mountain men, completed construction on the stone tower in 1974 to defend his land. buckskin lived on the salmon river for nearly fifty years.
