this piece was painted late august 2005 from the beach at funston around mile 62 on the middle fork of the salmon river in central idaho. the view is facing downstream looking through the filtered light of fire season into the pink granite above aparejo rapids. the castles rock formation over trail camp can be seen on a distant ridge.
